Bolton Information and advisory service SEND, is a statutory service for all young people with additional needs. This means, in law, if you have special educational needs and/or a disability, you have a right to access our help.
Anything you discuss with us is confidential. We will need your permission to talk to other people about your concerns. However, if we feel you are at risk, or anyone else may be at risk, we have a duty to pass this information on to the right people straight away.
We have been around for a very long time, but we usually only see parents and carers. We wanted to make sure that you had an opportunity to get help and support independently, so we have set up the outreach service.
The outreach service is delivered by our youth worker, Lindsey Allardice. Lindsey has level 1 accredited legal training. She can give information to you about things like;
Lindsey will be attending different places that you may go to when your not in school/ college, to meet you in person and see how she can help. Feel free to just go over and say "hi", or ask her for a confidential chat about anything you may need help with.
If you don't attend one of the groups Lindsey is visiting this term, don't worry, you can still get Lindsey's help. Scroll down for contact details.
